The same technicians do all three, so a house that needs a dish, a camera system and a gate motor is one visit and one quote rather than three companies blaming each other.
How much does DStv installation cost in Cape Town?
A standard single-view installation runs from R600 to R1,200, which covers dish mounting, cabling and decoder setup. Multi-room installations and complex setups cost more. We quote before we start, so you know the figure before anyone drills anything.
How much does CCTV installation cost?
A basic four-camera HD system starts at R5,200 supplied and installed. The final figure depends on camera count, resolution, how much storage you want and how difficult the cable runs are. Site survey and quote are free.
What does a gate motor cost?
Sliding gate motors start around R4,500 supplied and installed, including two remotes. Swing gate motors and heavier estate gates cost more. Battery backup is included so the gate still opens during load shedding.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. Every installation carries a 12-month workmanship warranty. That covers our work: if something we installed fails because of how it was installed, we come back and fix it. Equipment itself carries the manufacturer's own warranty.
What areas of Cape Town do you cover?
All of it. Northern Suburbs, Southern Suburbs, City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard, the Deep South, Helderberg and the Cape Flats. If you are inside greater Cape Town we will come to you.
Do you offer same-day installation?
Often, depending on technician availability and where you are. Phone 067 706 5216 and we will tell you honestly what today looks like rather than promising a slot we cannot make.
Can I monitor my CCTV cameras remotely?
Yes. Every system we install is set up for remote viewing on your phone, tablet or computer, and we configure it and test it on your own handset before we leave rather than emailing you an app link afterwards.
Are your technicians certified and insured?
Yes. Our technicians are certified, experienced and insured, which matters if something goes wrong on your property during an installation.
Do you work on businesses as well as homes?
Yes. Shops, offices, guesthouses, complexes and body corporates as well as houses and flats. Larger sites get a site walk and a written quote first.
How long does an installation take?
A standard single-view DStv install is usually two to three hours, including mounting the dish, running cable and setting up the decoder. A four-camera CCTV system is most of a day. A sliding gate motor is typically half a day. Anything needing new cable routes, an electrical point or work at height runs longer, and we put the realistic figure in the quote rather than the optimistic one.
Is DStv installation free?
Not from a professional installer, no. You will sometimes see a retailer bundle installation into a decoder-and-subscription promotion, and those are worth checking, though they usually cover a standard install only and charge extra for anything beyond it. Our own installations start at R600. What is genuinely free here is the site survey and the written quote.
Can I buy a DStv decoder without installation?
Yes. Decoders are sold on their own by the usual retailers, and plenty of customers buy the box themselves and call us to fit it. We are happy to install hardware you supply. What we cannot do is anything on your MultiChoice account: we are an independent installer, so subscriptions and package changes go through them.
What about the decoder bundles at PEP or Game?
Retailer bundles come and go and the terms change, so check the current offer with the store rather than trusting a figure on someone else's website. The thing to ask is what the included installation actually covers. Bundled installs are usually a standard single-view fit, and a second point, a wall mount, a longer cable run or a dish relocation is priced on top.
How do I find a good installer near me in Cape Town?
Ask for three things before you book anyone: a written quote before work starts, a workmanship warranty in writing, and a review profile you can actually open. We publish ours, which is 4.6 stars from 14 Google reviews, along with our prices, because most of this trade does not. We cover the whole metro, so wherever you are in greater Cape Town you are inside our area.
Are you open now, and who do I call?
We are on 067 706 5216, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 16:00. Closed Sundays, with urgent call-outs by arrangement. WhatsApp reaches us outside those hours and we will come back to you first thing.
